Larry Sorensen – AKC public education

Many new public education materials are now available from AKC.  Idea is to prevent legislation through education.
	New literature
	New public education kits are available and can be specific for dog shows, legislation booths and school education.  
	

Educational match (like the one TKC held) Manual on Public education section of AKC website
	-Have multiple clubs join together to educate new exhibitors
	-Invite specialty clubs to join and educate
-AKC will send out emails to those who have registered a dog in the last 18 mos inviting them to come to the match
	-Have greeters who help them find their way
	-Have handling, obedience and rally classes
	-Have grooming demonstrations
	-Dog show 101
	-Have B match and obedience C match and rally run throughs
-Have superintendents present to hand out premium lists, teach new exhibitors how to read Premium Lists and fill out entries and finally take entries.
	*All participating clubs will receive credit for a B match
